Our Puppies

Puppies

Bringing home an ER Dox puppy means welcoming a dachshund bred with intention, raised with care, and backed by generations of thoughtful selection. Every litter reflects our commitment to the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) breed standard for long-haired miniature and standard dachshunds—with the health, temperament, and structural integrity to thrive as both companions and conformation prospects.

We breed selectively and responsibly, with each pairing chosen for the betterment of the breed and the continuation of strong, typey lines. Our puppies are not mass-produced—they are purposefully planned and placed with care.

Our Process

We don’t sell puppies—we place companions for life. Our process includes:

1. Application:
We ask potential families to complete a detailed application to ensure compatibility and alignment with our values.

2. Approval & Matchmaking:
Approved applicants are matched based on lifestyle, goals (companion vs. show), and puppy personality.

3. Reservation:
A non-refundable deposit secures your puppy once a match is made.

4. Go-Home Day:
Puppies go home between 9–12 weeks, depending on development and evaluations.

How Our Puppies Are Raised

  • Hand Raised: Every litter is raised in our home with constant supervision.

  • Sensory Exposure: Each puppy is exposed to a wide variety of different household sounds, textures, and people.

  • Training: Puppies have an early introduction to crate training and grooming table exposure.

  • Vet Evaluation: Every puppy is vet-checked, dewormed, and microchipped.

  • CKC Registration: Each ER Dox litter is CKC registered.
